I'm going homework, and cleaning their rooms......
Homework is not a battle for my youngest. heck, she does MORE than is required because she still has rose coloured glasses about school. But my 13 year old....some days I feel like screaming. At least if their rooms are disgusting I can close their doors so I don't have to look at it.
Getting my stepdaughter to EAT! She came to me one time and almost bragged...I only eat Doritos and grilled cheese sandwiches...not too brown.
My children's diet is a wide variety of nutritious foods. I see to it there is dairy at each meal...vegetables, protein, a little potassium for the growing pains...I am meticulous and purposeful when I choose our meals.
My husband said something to his ex about the eating habits...and she said, "That's not true! She eats cheese pizza. Sometimes I make those little pizzas that you bake...and she will eat cheese pizza." The little girl chimes in..."Sometimes."
Are you BRAGGING? Are you PROUD that the only thing your child has learned to like is the stuff you can throw at her without any meaningful preparation?
Now the most infuriating part of this battle is how the 9 year old little girl who looks like a Barbie doll...will get up from the table...bolt across the room and SPIT a bite of something new into the TRASHCAN.
That makes me so mad I don't know if I should rip my hair out..or hunt her mama down!
And my two year old is biting his NAILS. Last night I held him down and painted his fingernails with Bitrex. Three minutes later, he's in my lap and the fingers go to his mouth. He whines...coughs...looks at his fingers...looks at me and shoves his fingers in MY mouth!
If I say "get your fingers out your mouth" one more TIME...I am going to SPIT in the MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR!
