I have a 4 year old daughter, who will be 5 in one month. She was raised by a man who was not her biological father. After court and pathrnity testing, the real father was revealed as another man. The three of us (adults) made an agreement with our lawyers. We all share joint custody of the 4 ur old child. With the biological father having visitation rights as well as her phycological father having visitation rights as well. Child lives with me(mother). We as a group are suppose to inform my child that she this man she visits with, she calls him uncle (biological father) is really her father. My child is very smart for her age because she has an older sibling in the house with us my 13 ur old daughter. My question is, when should I inform my 4yr old child that her uncle is her real father n the father that she calls dad is just her phycological father? Confused!

Now. You tell her "Uncle" is the man who helped me make you. "dad" is the man who helped me raise you to this point. Now they both want to be involved, so we can be one big family!

Hopefully you all are amiable, and getting along...Then it will be much easier to include the "we're one big family" line.

Me and the biological father get along, he is currently married with a child, so my daughter has siblings.. I would like her to get to know them as well. Mickey has a great relationship with her "uncle" biological father.
I also get along with mickeys dad. (Phycological father)
I don't like to lie to my children, my oldest daughter and everyone already knows the truth. Just not sure of how much time I need to give Mickey before I tell her.
I realize the earlier the better, cuz she will see how much she is loved by all of us. What would the right age be?
