My son is 8 weeks and I am exclusively breast feeding. I do not want to get on contraceptives...instead, my husband and I are wanting to do more of a natural "birth control" method. I was told that in order to track one's ovulation you simply track your period...well, what about if you are breast feeding and do not have a period? My midwife just suggested condoms, but they are just so expensive and we are trying to save every way possible with him being a teacher and me staying at home with our baby. Does anybody know an effective way of tracking ovulation and/or a natural birth control method? I've looked some methods up...one that may be worth a try is tracking the vaginal mucus secretions, but I do not understand how to begin.
