Birthday party ideas...

My son will be turning 4 in May. He is very very into logging! His dad is logger and loves everything about it. Well of course there aren't any logging party supplies out there, so I was going to do a construction party because he loves those machines too. That party was going to be really easy with them just playing tractors in the dirt in my garden. I was also going to have toy dump trucks with cupcakes in the back that looked like mounds of dirt. Well then I ran across how to make an excavator cake. And I thought it would be cute for my birthday boy. But my imagination ran wild and I started turning it into a skidder. Now I know that my son would absolutely die if he had a skidder cake and logging birthday. I thought I could just buy the disposable wooden plates and utensils to keep with the theme but I can't think of any activities for the kids to do... do you guys have any suggestions?

you could do logging rolling race, or make little long cakes and have an eating contest , or play pictionary logging theme

If you have lincoln logs you can fill a pool and have them fish for logs and put, or tape numbers on the bottom of the logs so they can win a prize. You can build log cabins, or have them build the cabins. I would create activities with those. Lincoln logs are the best.
