I'd say it's time for a 2nd opinion. Go and see another doctor if you aren't happy with the one you have been seeing. It's not normal and they should be doing than just putting you on birth control.
It's YOUR body and YOU have the right to insist on further testing. Stand up for yourself and don't just assume the doctor knows everything. They are only human and can overlook things.

Hi,
Typically, you should not be bleeding after two months post partum. Have you had an ultrasound of your uterus fallopian tubes and ovaries? Or perhaps you should have an MRI if the ultrasound indicates it. Maybe you have non-cancerous tumors. Many woman have them and it causes hormonal imbalances and other problems. Have you seen an endocrinologist? Perhaps you should see this specialist and get a blood work-up on your endocrine system. It could be one of your endocrine organs is out of sync. You should definitely find the cause of the problem. Also, you need to get blood work done to see if your iron is normal. Loosing blood constantly is a good way to become anemic. Taking a multi-vitamin will not prevent it. Also have the doctor check your Vit D while you are at it. I hope you find the reason. I am a retired RN.
Good luck!

They only did an ultrasound after six months with my first and found fibers in my ovaries but did nothing about it. They just kept changing my birth control. Then I got pregnant with my second. Went to my 6 week check up went on birth control again and haven't stopped yet. I'm going to be on my second month of bc in a week so hopefully it regulates and i don't have that problem. Just worried about it so many people have told me different things and then the doctors only spend 5 min or less and say here try this for another month etc...

I bled for 4 months after my 2nd and the doctors couldn't find out why. I bled for 6 weeks after my 1st but that's when I stopped breastfeeding. The doctors didn't want me to stop just because of that after my 2nd and it eventually stopped.
Have the doctors done any tests? I had blood tests done to check my blood clotting and it was all ok, just something I had to put up with.
I only bled for 6 weeks after my 3rd but breastfed for 6 months so who knows what our body does sometimes.
I would make sure that you are getting enough iron though, even if you have to take supplements. You don't want to be anemic.
