Bleeding at 6 weeks

Hello all!

I'm normally just a browser of these forums. Two weeks ago, I started spotting, dark old blood, just enough to show on paper when wiping. So, I went into my OBGYN, they did a trans-vaginal ultrasound, and discovered I was actually 5 weeks pregnant instead of the 8 originally predicted. They saw the gestational sac, yolk and closed cervix. No heart beat yet, so they predicted I was 5 weeks. That was a week ago today. I continued spotting after that appointment.

Well, this morning, around 10am, I started bleeding similar to a period, except it seemed more a combination of mucus and blood (making the blood seem much thinner than normal). No cramps associated with the bleeding. Since 10am, 5 hours have passed and I've had to change my pad twice. I've left a message with by dr, but am super nervous so am hoping other members might have some insight.

*also, I had gastric bypass in 2012, not sure if that has any impact

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have!

I'd call the doctor. That's more bleeding than you should ignore. Good Luck.
