You can try freezing a piece of apple for him to chew on or we had a special chewer where we could put pieces of frozen fruit in and he could chew on it without pieces coming out.Or give him some cold water with a spoon, sip by sip.Goodluck and hope he feels better soon.Ps my son is 2and a half and is getting his last two molars..he is forever chewing on his finger and also wont let me look or touch,i give him teething gel and i froze some fruit juice,i think the cold helps.

Try warm as possible salt water, or take to the dentist to find out what is going on. May God Bless You and Your DS, as well as the rest of your Family.
