My 2 year old boy has been potty training for a couple of weeks and is doing great. I take him to the bathroom about every 45 min to an hour. I don't think he will tell me when he needs to go, yet, which is why I take him. I was wondering how often I should be taking him? What kind of time intervals? Also, how can I get him to poop on the potty? We can tell when he needs to poop, but he won't do it when we sit him on the potty. I've heard that pooping can be a scary thing for kids to learn because they feel like they are loosing something from their body. Any poop tricks?

My daughter had a hard time going #2 in the potty. I took her to the store and let her pick out a book. It was one that had stickers with it also, so it was really fun to her. Then I told her that she was only able to look at the book while she was on the potty. It really helped to get her to sit long enough for the #2 to come.
