My son has always been a good sleeper. Since the day we brought him home, he has always slept through the night.
He is seven months old. He started solids a month ago, and for about three months, he has been structured into morning and afternoon naps instead of frequent short naps on his own accord.
It had been working pretty well, or so I thought anyway, until about a week ago.
He plays hard with his sister in the early afternoon. When ge starts to get grumpy, we have quiet time. Snuggles and tv. Sometimes my four year old has some time with a tablet, or some crayons- whatever. At two thirty, I nurse baby, when he gets groggy we switch out to a pacifier and then I lay him down right away... Usually out like a light by 3, 315.
But this week, instead, he screams. Im doing controlled crying- or at least trying anyway. I go in after x amount of minutes, and try to soothe him. Except. He will not be soothed until I give up and let him do something fun instead... Jolly jumper, play mat, whatever.
Today I didnt.
It took over 2.5 hours of screaming... Just for a nap.
Any ideas on what I can do, ladies?

It's almost like a tantrum- I dont know if he's old enough to call it that. But today he was wearing a zip up sleeper, and kicked and flailed his arms until the zipper slipped a bit, then kept kicking to slide his shoulders out and then kicked the whole thing off.
He has done similar things before- occasionally during his pre bedtime diaper change, he throws himself around so that I cant get thw clean one on.
