So I brag about my kids and how they are doin...As mothers, I think we all tend to do this but it annoys me when people CONSTANTLY brag bout insignificant things. EXAMPLES: "I dont ever buy anything but name-brand stuff because my kid is too good for the cheaper brands", braggin about how much money is brought n the home, bragging about what they buy like they try to rub it in cuz u would rather spend money on ur children than urself, or braggin cuz their kid has this and has that and urs dont...It gets under my skin and I just smile and let it go although I'd like to punch em in their mouth and brag that I have my front teeth and they dont!!! :) I'm I the only one out there like this???

I brag about how I get deals on things from second hand stores. lol. Don't let him bother you. It's usually the people that make try to make themselves seem better or have more things that are most unhappy with thier lives. Next time, just say well I would like to teach my child that money isn't everything so I'm not putting to much attention on brand names or expensive items. I mean no one likes a snot and see what they have too say then.

My friends will post brags about their kids and I will comment, but when I brag about mine..nothing. Not one word from anybody! Yes, I bragged when my 5 year old read Fox in Socks, when my son made the archery team, when my oldest daughter did a great job in her dance recital, etc, but I don't keep on talking about it. My cousin always brags about the car she has, how big her house is, and how nice her boat is, etc. Money may buy nice things, but I guarantee I am happier than she is

no you are not the only one that feels like that i hate when people do that or how you share how your child is doing and what they can do and another mother always tries to overshadow your child by saying their child has been doing that for the longest now. it really is childish and annoying

I KNOW!!!! That drives me nuts too! Do you know what I would say? I'd say,"Does that make you feel better about yourself? Because all it really does is make you sound shallow and petty!" Well, I might not actually say that , but I'd sure think it!!LOL I don't know why people feel the need to "one up" others. But unfortunately, it takes all kinds to make the world go round, including those.

I hear you. Just the constant bragging about thier kids on FB too gets old. Over and over I feel like I have to comment and write "Way to go Cindy!" Because the last five times I didnt.

I would get new friends. Friends, REAL friends, are kind, caring and don't always have to one up you.

no, it can be very annoying to have to hear somebody talking like that. just change conversations constantly as soon as she starts bragging, even if it feels silly, hopefully the person will get the message.

One of my pet peeves is moms bragging about how much their baby sleeps. Dunno why, it just bothers me. I guess because my babies didn't sleep through for a long time, but I didn't think there was anything wrong with that.

:) Well Sweetie this is the First time I've ever Saw this kind of a Question :) but as for me i Agree its not a Nice thing for People to do but you know this World is not the way it was when I was a kid Things have changed a lot People are more about what they can spend, and how much it cost ,or how fancy there Children Dress or about all the name Brand this or that see even if I had a lot of Money I would not do that because I would want my Children to Respect Others And I never Brought my Children up in about all the Name brand Stuff it was all about being Clean looking Nice and Loving you for who you are inside :) But don't let all that Bug you sweetie its there loss as time Goes on because in the End there Children will Not Respect them,as Parents, its all great Right now when Children are Little Dressing them up all Cute and Preppy But one Day them Kids are going to grow up and Expect not Respect :) so Don't Worry Be Happy :) God Bless you Kimberly, and I agree with you but No sense of letting it give us gray hair before our Time :) Hugs Leigh,
