My little boy b reastfeeds and is constipated a lot. I have to give him iron because he is anemic. He is 2 months in 2 weeks.

Even at two months you can give small doses (0.5 to 1 oz) of baby pear juice or prune juice (or dilute them yourself) and that may be all that's required.

Infrequent bowel function is a danger to general health, though, as at any age. f he hasn't done a dooh for 2+ days put a baby-size (1 gram) glycerine suppository in him, it'll make him do a big one in 5 to 10 minutes!

Oh and it is very common for breastfed babies not to have bowel movements at all at 2 months of age. My baby never pooped at that age but the doctor told me it is very normal... If he acts like he is hurting or trying to go but can't go to the pharmacy and get him some Infant Suppositories. I had to use them with my first baby.. I just broke one in half and it works like a charm!!

There are supplements you can take to help him... If you take a prenatal vitamin that will help so much and it's also really good for you post baby! Have you ever taken Omega 3-6-9s? Or DHA? It's really good for your baby and they really aren't that expensive... Here are a few websites that sell discounted vitamins. I hope that helps you! They also sell organic formula if you're thinking of switching him over. I use an organic brand of formula (if I forget to pump and BFing is not convenient at the moment) that is actually cheaper than regular formula.
