My husband is against me giving any formula to our daughter. Breastfeeding has been a challenge since our daughter was born and she's 7 weeks now and it feels as if my milk production is slowing down. I'd like to keep breastfeeding but she doesn't seem to be getting full after each feed, it feels as if she's feeding all day long. I'd like to start giving a little formula after to make sure she's full for awhile as I do have a 4 year old who needs my attention also. I feel as if my husband has no say in my decision because he isn't the one having to ever deal with her. I'm the one up all night with her and holding her all day. I need some input. Please help!!!

Feeding all day long is pretty normal at that age... and the more formula you use the more you will have to use since your baby isn't signaling your body to make more. Why do you feel you don't have enough? If she is wetting 6-8 times/day, growing, and thriving.... she is most likely fine. You might not feel so full of milk anymore, but that could very well just be your supply regulating.

On the one hand... your husband doesn't have a say cuz it's your body, but on the other hand... it's also HIS baby too. I hope you two can work this out amicably.

I haven't been having the let down feeling anymore. My breasts just don't feel full. Baby keeps wanting to get more out of them but gets frustrated when theirs nothing coming out. I understand its his baby also, which is why iv been trying to not put her on formula at all but I don't want to feel as if she's starving after I take her off the breast.
