You stated in your other post that he east every two hours and you are sore. If you are latching properly, you should not have pain at all at 3 months. Is he gaining weight? He may be going thru a growth spurt. Even if he is hungry, apple sauce is not the answer. If you are not making enough milk, you need to consider formula. Why are you putting your milk in a bottle? Does he nurse?

My response:
Yes it is too soon. He doesn't need anything but formula or breastmilk right now. Solids should be started when he can sit up, control his head and no longer has a tongue thrust reflex (around 6 months) Also, solids should only be give from a spoon, never in a bottle. What prompted you to try giving him applesauce?

Way too soon. Only breast milk or infant approved formula under 6 months. Anything else has the potential to cause life long damage and digestive issues.

Yes, breastmilk or formula for the first 6 months. Then NEVER put food in a bottle. Baby food should ALWAYS be fed by spoon.
