Does it really matter if your child is in a lower bracket of his weight of babies?

Someone's babies have to be in the 5th percentile. My daughter was born below the 3rd percentile and I breastfed her. She remained below the 3rd percentile for a long time. As long as she was gaining weight and staying along the same line of weight gain, I wasn't concerned.

Nope. Without a 5 percent there wouldn't be a 95 percent either. 2/3 of my kids weren't even on the chart for weight til 6 months old... lol

If your child is growing, thriving, meeting milestones, and staying hydrated... THAT matters a lot more than where on the grow chart he/she falls.
