I'm a first time mom and I have an important question for experienced breastfeeding moms. My son is 2 months old and I found out I have mastitis. The doctor told me I can still breastfeed but I have a fever. I'm nervous to get my son sick. Im nervous to hold him, hug him or kiss him. Am I over exaggerating?

It's totally fine to continue to nurse. Mastitis isn't something that your son can get sick with. Even if you were sick with something he could catch, it's still good to continue to nurse

You are not going to get him sick. Chances are you have a fever BECAUSE of the mastitis. It is still safe to love on him. He cannot catch this from you. It hurts like hell, but typically you have to feed him through it. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
