My son Aiden was born Oct. 2014 at 25 weeks 3 days. He had a lot of the expected preemies' issues and we were very happy to see nothing unexpected happening. He was incubated for 10 days when he was born and is now 42 weeks old. He always had breathing issues just like most of the other preemies. The doctor told us that it was just a preemie issue.
He was still have breathing issues at 40 weeks and so the doctor sent him to an ENT specialist. Her team found a cyst and also found that his airway was 40% narrower than babies his age. They performed a small operation to remove the cyst and to widen his airway. After the surgery, it worked well for about a week or so and now he's starting to having breathing issues again. I'm very worried as to what would come next? Any mom has similar experience? Your input would be most helpful.
