Bright red blood in stool...

Warning! Too much information coming!

Alright so this isn't the first time this has happened, but it has been about a year and a half since it has. Went to the washroom (bowel movement...) and went to wipe and there was bright red blood on the toilet paper. I looked in the toilet and my stool had a small amount of bright red blood on it. I wiped again and no more blood... I'm not feeling light headed, dizzy or sick. No abdominal pain or anything like that. I wasn't straining either. Has anyone had this and did it amount to anything? Should I be going to the doctor, like now, to see what is wrong? Or should I just wait it out and see if it happens again.

Sorry I know this is WAY too much information but it's a lot easier to ask these kinds of questions to people I actually don't personally know (kinda stupid I know). I don't even know if I want to tell my fiance about it yet... although I probably should.

Thank you so much! I was thinking it might be that, but I've always heard that hemorrhoids hurt and there isn't any pain... But it's definitely good to know that it's most likely fine. I'll just wait till my next doc appt with my daughter and I'll ask than if it doesn't come up again!

You have a lot of blood vessels in that area and it's easy for one to tear or pop especially internally. If you were seeing copious amounts of bright red blood with belly pain and/or diarrhea then I would panic. But there is a chance you had an internal hemorrhoid rupture (not uncommon and not really painful either) and it bled a little. Probably not anything serious to worry about but keep an eye on it and see if it worsens or comes back repeatedly. Either of which warrants a call to the doctor.

It is more than likely comming from a hemoroid or tiny tear around the rectum. I have that problem all the time. Blood comming from internal bleeding is maroon or coal black and has a very distinctive smell. If you are too worried, go to the doc for his/her confermation, because there is no need for you to sit there worrying about it, but just know it is all prob ok.

It's probably a hemorrhoid. If it bothers you, go to the doctor, get it diagnosed, go to the store, buy Prep-H or Tucks and use it.
