Good Morning
I am writing you all with the intent that we can collectively get the micro-scope employed to highlight the continued bullying and cyber-bullying that is currently happening every day at Buena High School. I am extremely concerned for my daughter’s well being to the point where I had her removed from school, now she is conducting on-line high school because of this schools inability to get the bullying of all types under control. I’m just one concerned parent, I assure you that there are numerous parents with whom my wife knows that have pulled their children out of this school as well. There are still many more concerned parents that intend to pull their children as well.

My wife has made several attempts to contact the principle Mr. Joe Farmer to address the issues below in a letter I sent to the Arizona State Board of Education, and to the Sierra Vista Public Schools Superintendent. Each time my wife has coordinated an office call with the principle (Mr. Joe Farmer); she has observed him on his smart phone. My daughter’s boy friend stopped to see Mr. Farmer regarding the atrocious treatment of my daughter, and he suddenly had the time to talk to him, of course he was perturbed due to the fact he was on his smart phone once again. According to my daughter’s boyfriend, the principle stated he couldn't do anything about the threats even though he had proof. The irony is that the high school is very pro-active about sending girls home regularly for a variety of “dress-code” violations.

Regarding my letter to the State and local Superintendent leadership, it has been about 5 business days, and they still have not responded. I feel as though they do not care. I posted the letter I sent them for your edification. Thank-you and I sincerely hope you can raise this serious issue to a point where rapid and significant change happens to protect against bullying.

Has anyone else had problems with bullying at Buena with no help from the school?

Hi,
Yes, my wife attempted to coordinate many times for an office call with Mr. Farmer. He has been totally and absolutely unresponsive. Thanks for the info on cyber bullying. But my daughter is also being sexually harassed and under constant threats of being physically harmed on school grounds by teenagers that are still attending Buena and they are 18 years old.

Ok, can I just suggest to you that cyberbullying is not a school matter, it is a police matter. If your children have social media accounts, the school has absolutely no control over that, and neither does it have control over your child's internet access. So if this is of concern, report it to the police.

I get you sent a letter - did you ever make a call to arrange a meeting first?
