I have completed 35 weeks, this is our first baby- radiolologist and gynaecologist are happy with baby and me, and she is giving me the choice of whether I want to try for a normal delivery or opt for an elected C section. I met the anesthesiologist who spent 15 mins trying to convince me NOT TO go for a C sec. My husband wants me to avoid a surgery ( a surgery is a surgery after all) but also feels empathetic enough to say I wont be able to see you in so much pain.
I met some nurses from the labour room of my hospital when I had gone there for some tests. Each told me they havent seen any normal delivery without a cut given to help baby ease out.. I saw pics of that in a pregnancy book and felt really scared... If they r anyways going to give a cut, isnt a C SEC better?I mean, my qs is, if u r going to go thru pain, n then some anesthesia, then cut , then stitches for a normal delivery, then is it not better to go initially for a C SEC only?
I think Im scared of both. Also, do they routinely give enemas these days or do they give only that tablet the suppository?
