I had a c-section 12 years ago. Lately ive felt pulling and pain across my scar and on my right hip. I seen a doctor, she said sometimes endometriosis can get into your scar. She suggested I take Depo Medrol shots to decrease estrogen and further stop fueling the endometriosis. Its terrible from sitting and bending and now I cant even ride my exercise bike.
Is this familiar to any of you? Im afraid to start the shots.

I have been diagnosed with endometriosis, and had issues in my 20s, including having to have adhesions removed. I haven't had problems since I had kids. Definitely talk to a specialist - you should no be experiencing this pain, and you certainly shouldn't have to put up with it on an ongoing basis if there are ways to fix it. They can remove adhesions, and it is generally a simple day procedure, depending on where they are. Get a referral to someone who specialises.

Did you have the endometriosis in your scar?
Im not sure that she specializes in endometriosis. I had a laparoscopy a few years back that didnt show any endometriosis!
I did have it 25 years ago though.
I will have to research keyhole surgery.
Thank you for your reply!

I never had shots - I had keyhole surgery to remove the adhesions. The medication can't reduce the adhesions you already have, only prevent them from growth/expansion. So if you are already experiencing pain from adhesions, I fail to see how this can possibly improve your current situation. Is your doctor a specialist in endometriosis?
