I have had 2 c sections, one in 2006, and one in 2010......I still have numbness under my belly button and on my scar. Anytime I stretch, or sometimes even when I sneeze I get a pain by my scar!! Just curious if that is normal!!

I think it's common for the scar to still be sensitive long after you've had your c-section. I had my daughter in June of 2009 and I still experience numbness, and pain through the entire length of my scar. Anything requiring those lower abdominals to be used causes discomfort around my scar.

Hate to tell you ladies but my son is 22and my scar is still painful sometime

Maybe there are a range of experiences, but I don't have any pain 3 years after my section, and had a natural vbac delivery / pg 2 yrs after the section with no residual c-section pain. I agree with asking your doc/midwife.

Danielle, just like every pregnancy is different, every women heals differently...it still hurts me too...and I still have numbness. You are lucky you don't have any pain. At 15 months out, I was still wincing everytime I pick up my kid, or would cough.

That doesn't sound normal to me, I would definitely have it thoroughly looked at. My c-section scar is 15 months old and I am 8 months pregnant with our second child and I feel no pain whatsoever around my previous incision.

I haven't used these products but have read to use E-oil or Kelo-Cote scar gel. You can ask your doctor / pharmacy or google them.

I am 4 years out after having a c-section, and I just had a VBAC in April....EVERY ultrasound HURT!!!! Please speak up, and let them know to be gentle. They have to put a certain amount of pressure, but OUCH! Congratulations, and good luck!

My scar is still sore to touch but it has only been 20 months. I have a feeling it will always be tender. Ask a midwife if you are worrid
