My two year old Maggie constanly calls her sister Maggie, which her sister's name is Greyson. I try over and over again to tell Maggie that her name is Maggie and that her sister's name is Greyson. Does anybody else have this problem? She will call her Greyson after you say something, but when she talks to her again she says "Maggie...." Anybody have any suggestions

My 3 yr daughter calls her sister Bridgie not Jasmyn. Yet she calls her brothers by their names as well as mom and dad. Just not her sister. Been trying everything. I am hoping she will eventually outgrow that.

My girls (identical twins) used to call each other by their own names at that age. No real suggestions. She's 2. She'll figure it out in time. :)

Phyllis and Tracy that is too funny, but it is nice to know that other kids do it too and that eventually we will get her out of this stage, hopefully! We were thinking maybe we should just change their names Maggie to Greyson and Greyson to Maggie. It starts confusing us as parents too, lol.

I've known several kids that around that age decided to rename people. Either themselves, or others. My own 3 yr old decided that my bf's brother's name Michael when it's really Jason. lol!

Hmmm... haven't had this exact problem...but my oldest did call my youngest "binoo" for the first year. We just kept pointing at the baby and saying his name over and over. He eventually either caught on or just got bored calling him Binoo.
