can a 2 year old inherit sezuires from there mom or a loved one that has had them or still does have them ?? and can it be found out if they do have them at the age of two??

Hi , I don't know how to answer this my son has autstim and had sezuires has't had 1 for 5 yrs now and then my daughter that has hydrocephlau [fluid on the brain] that balso coursers sezuires so I don't if this helps but does your two have a history of a disorder or historyh of sezuires???? all the best
Regarding epilepsy (not speaking about other seizures) it's a bit simplistic to simply state that epilepsy is hereditary. Generally, it's not. There can be genetic factors, but on the whole, there are far too many types of epilepsy and contributing factors in epilepsy to make such a statement.

I have epilepsy (generalised tonic/clonic seizures.) None of my three daughters or 3 granddaughters have epilepsy. There is no epilepsy in my extended family (which is large!)
Note, I am only discussing epilepsy, not other kinds of seizures.

I would assume that would depend on what type of Seizures you are talking about but if you're talking Epilepsy then yes, it is hereditary. Below is a link to some good information for you, check it out. You can have your 2 year old assessed by a doctor to rule it out, but if he or she isn't displaying any symptoms or having seizures then I *think* it might be harder to diagnose.
