Can a cold stop morning sickness?

Hey ladies,
I'm about 7 weeks pregnant and so far, I've had a bit of morning sickness. I wake up feeling nauseous but not to the point that I've actually gotten sick yet. Three days ago I've come down with a cold and since then, I haven't felt sick in the morning. Do you think my body is too busy fighting off this cold to have morning sickness? Or could this sudden stop of morning sickness be a sign of miscarriage? I have a bit of cramping, but I'm told it's normal and there's no bleeding. I also started my pre-natal vitamins on Monday. Could that possibly make the morning sickness go away?

I've never heard of a cold curing morning sickness. When I was pregnant with both of my girls I had a couple of really bad colds and it didn't stop my morning sickness at all.

I would have been super grateful to have little to no morning sickness, even if it was while I had a cold - I was sick as a dog right up until the end with both girls (vomiting over the side of the bed during delivery). That said, with my second girl I had MUCH less severe morning sickness than with my 1st (my 1st it was all day, every day) and with my 2nd girl it was most days, but not every day.

I think it really depends on the pregnancy and the baby.

Thanks ladies, I was just a little freaked out because with my first baby, I had morning sickness for the whole first 3 months! I guess every pregnancy is different though!

There are some women who don't get any morning sickness during their pregnancy. You are very lucky so far.

No, No and No. Morning sickiness is a cause of to much estrogen levels, no biggy if your morning sickiness has gone away. Btw it can come back! Enjoy having no morning sickiness.

I doubt it but some people only get a very small amount of morning sickness, some none at all. It can be pretty daunting when you are so early on, there are no definite symptoms to reassure you everything is ok. If you are really concerned I would talk to your doctor about having a blood test to check your hCG levels. I am sure you will be fine, try not to stress :)
