can a teacher and principal discuss your child without informing you or ever sharing that discussion with you

Can a teacher go to a principal and tell them something-which no one can prove or disprove- about your child without contacting you first or you being present?

Of course they can. I'm not sure what your post is referring to but it really doesn't matter a teacher can discuss whatever they choose to with the principal and you do not have to be included in those conversations. In our school that's how they place students the following year, that would be impossible to inlude every parent in every conversation.

Your post is a bit confusing. Could you clarify? Like...what did the teacher say, and if it was a private conversation how do you know about it? From what I am reading if the teacher has an issue with a student...certainly they can discuss this with the principal without your consent. But I am not sure if I am understanding what you are saying.
