Hi Jennifer =] I wouldn't worry too much about the MRI that you had. MRIs are different from x-rays in the way that they don't have ionizing radiation, rather they are highly magnetized. The MRI has not been known to harm unborn children, sometimes the test is postponed until the baby is born, but I believe you should be safe! Hopefully you didn't need the MRI for anything bad! Hope all is well and this was helpful to you, goodluck on your pregnancy!

In general, there is no known risk of having an MRI while pregnant, but it should be avoided if at all possible. MRI is definately safer than having any xrays or CT scans while pregnant. But like I said it should be avoided unless the benefits outweigh the risks, as the fetus will be put into a highly magnetic field.
