I am new to all of this. Being a first time mom and having a premature baby. I sometimes feel guilty for not giving him the best start in life but he seems to be a very happy baby when he's not hungry lol. But my question to all preemie moms is, do you ever get jeaslous of mom's that had full term babies? I always feel left out because my son doesn't get invited to playdates because he isn't as active as my friend's babies. Just need to know I'm not being weird and that someone else out there understands where I am coming from.

Thank you ladies, I feel much better knowing that I am not alone!! I will try the one on one playdates Liz. :) It's also good to know that him being a preemie doesn't exactly mean he will always have a handicap compared to other children. I want the best for him and he will go at his own pace. Thank you so much again!!! :)

They had to induce at 6 months, she was smaller than most, but perfectly fine, she will be going to university in the fall with scholarships. ( No major disabilities) I'm not happy that she refuses to ride a bicycle, but she does a lot of other things.
You are not being weird, I get the jealousy. Your baby will catch up, things will be fine.

I didn't feel guilty, but I can understand why you might do so.

We had to keep our daughter pretty much isolated and away from all other children for 18 months due to issues with her immunity, so by the time she was actually going to daycare she had caught up. I didn't get to compare her with anyone else until such point when it no longer made any difference.

Have you tried inviting some of the other kids to playdates at your house? It may be that they really thrive with one to one.
