I agree with Sarah, if there were any lasting effects then it would be brain damage, not Autism.
Are you trying to find a cause for Autism? If so, stop. no one knows the cause, just accept what it is and adjust life accordingly.

One of my girls wasn't breathing for about the first minute of life... No lasting issues, so I don't know.

Oxygen deprivation at birth can cause brain injury but not autism. It also would be extreme lack of oxygen. Like to the point of needing life support.

Michelle, I think I understand what she means by blue baby. My grandmother claimed to be one when she was born. It can be that the baby is born blue from lack of oxygen or because of some issue such as: "a baby with a blue complexion from lack of oxygen in the blood due to a congenital defect of the heart or major blood vessels." My grandmother said she was not supposed to survive.
