Can height predictors be wrong?

my daughter, Blake, is 3 days old and her predicted height is 5'10 but i am only 5'1 and my husband 5'10 how can this be? my dad is 6'2 that's the only solution i can come up with.

of course they can be wrong! Babycenter says I was supposed to be 4'9 +- a few inches...and I'm 5'8...web md and another one says I will be 5'5, http://www.parenting-journals.com/tools/... says 5'5 as well. The reason you cannot know for sure how tall your baby will be is because they only take into account mother and fathers height, they would need grandparents on both sides to determine better.



My daughter is estimated to be between 5'9 and 6'2 when she is 18 (using calculators) she is 1 going to be 2 next month and is 40" tall.

Thanks, it was just strange, i was like oh there going to say 5'3 or something like they did with my other daughter and my son apparently 5'9 so for Blake to be 5'10 just seems weird

Height predictors can be wrong,as they can't predict illnesses that affect height. They are quite general
