I had my period when I was pregnant with my last son four years ago, but is not a normal period. I bled for two days, when I usually bleed longer, I knew something was different with this period.

It is possible, and fairly common especially if it's when you would have "normally" bleed. You should however call your dr! You may want to have a check up. Do you have any other symptom that go with it like cramps?

Not to scare you, but I had bleeding/spotting when I was 11 weeks pregnant. No cramps, but horrible back pain. I went to the dr for an exam and everything was fine, I even felt like I was as big as I should be. We had an ultrasound two days later (when the lab was finally open) and found out that the baby stopped developing at 6 1/2 weeks, and there wasn't a heart beat.

PLEASE go to the dr, if your spotting but have no other signs of a miscarriage, still get checked out and make sure everything is ok. Trust me, if you go to the dr and hear the heart beat you'll feel SO much better, and maybe won't stress about the spotting/bleeding.

Also, if the spotting/bleeding ever gets worse call your dr's office immedatly, even if it's after hours there should be a dr on call.

It technically isn't a menstrual cycle, it is spotting (thank you "I didn't know I was pregnant" I love that show) but it seems to often be confused for a period. Definitely call your OB if you think you are preggo or if you are preggo and have spotting!

I bled with my second child. Mine wasn't a menstrual cycle. I had placenta previa. It is somewhat common but make sure to let the doctor check it out. I have never heard of a woman actually having a menstrual cycle but bleeding yes. I don't doubt anything tho. The best advice is to go see an OBGYN.

Yep that is why the show " I didn't know I was pregnant" is so popular. Many women believe they are menstrating when they really aren't; its break through bleeding I believe its called. Needless to say CALL YOUR Doctor!!

It is possible to still bleed some, but you should get checked by a doctor to be sure everything is ok.

ifyou are soaking a pad with blood and one per hour, then you defently need to call your docotor right away. but if not i would call and ask them. you made to get checked out just in case, if anything is wrong. but it can happen. watch i didnt know i was pregnant show and that will explain a lot of things that can happen and they didnt know that they wre pregnant till they gave birth.

Adanna, having a menstural period is ok, check with your MD. Periods are usually lighter and you have a decrease in the time it lasts. The ultimate authority is your doctor, have you notified him yet???

Yes you can. I had a friend that was pregnant w/ her 2nd, but she didn't find out until she was about 6, maybe 7 months along b/c she had still gotten her cycle.

With my 1st, I was on the pill, didn't miss my first period, which was on time on day #28, and found out through a sonogram that I was 6 weeks along.

Yes and even so if you are on Birth controll. I was 4 1/2 months when we found out I was pregnant with my youngest. I had a monthly Light period...I actually went in for an Ultra sound because of a disease I have ..they suspected Ovarian Cysts...but instead found a baby. Your best bet is a blood test...or an ultra sound. Good luck

I was 15 weeks pregnant with my second child before I 'missed' a period.....so yes, it is entirely possible.

Yes, this happens more often than people think. Some women still have a cycle throughout their pregnancy. The best thing to do is to see your doctor to find out for sure. Even with the most sensitive test for HCG, you can still have a negative result when you are positive, so there may be several visits needed. Good luck!
