I am not a mother I am a father recently we had lost out first child at 39 weeks and cannot stop thinking how if i had made him do it earlier everything would have been differnt he was 8 lbs 11 oz 21 inch long he had to of been fully developed by then . June 24 at 830 am was kicking in her belly fine 930 at obgyn no heartbeat it baffles me how such a lil amount of time can make such a big difference .the only thing I'm looking on her for is to be better informed on my rights as a parent so nothing like this happens again I'm only 25 her 23 I know we still have plenty of time. What keeps me going is knowing that god needed an extra hand in heaven from one with no sin

Full agreement with Jodi here.

I am sorry for your loss, I know it is excruciating.

However, you do not have any control over the doctors, nor their decisions, etc. YOu can provide information as input, and ask them to take that into consideration, but ultimately it is up to the doctors.

I am sorry for your loss. I couldn't imagine what grief you have been experiencing. I hope you are seeing a counsellor, because it is unhealthy for you to believe that you somehow had control of the situation and what "could have" been.

With regard to forcing a doctor to do a c-section, no doctor can be forced to perform an operation if they don't wish to. Your rights as a parent don't extend to a doctor performing a c-section at all. Your rights are to seek a second opinion if you don't believe your doctor is making the right choices for you and your family, but you can't force them to do as you ask them to do.
