Jennifer, do you have a lawyer? If you don't I would very much suggest you get one. He appears to be in a good position to keep custody of the children. Without a lawyer you may be fighting an uphill battle. At minimum, you want to make sure you have visitation.

Well, if he presents a better case for primary custody than you do, he'll get to keep them. However, you should still have secondary custody and visitation.
But, not knowing the details (which are none of my business), that's about as far as I care to speculate.
Anything can happen in the courtroom. You just need to make sure you have all of your paperwork in order, show that you can provide a safe environment, and that you are able to meet the needs of the kids.
