I'm located in the US and I'm asking this only because I have a 10 year old son with ADD and a daughter who is 7 years old with ADHD and I don't like to say it but she is bad. I tried everything outside of turning to medication first but it had no effect on my daughter and had no choice left but to add medication to therapy sessions and behavioral counseling.
I miss work regularly for calls from school about misbehavior, therapy sessions and doctor appointments to manage ADHD & ADD medications. I'm very thankful I have an understanding employer who knows the weight lies only on me but I am losing so much income because of these events. When I was young my mother worked full-time and went to college at night so she was constantly gone. I'm the oldest of 3 girls and the middle child had ADHD so bad my mother had to quit the job she had at a state facility helping prisoners recover from drug and alcohol abuse, the job she spent so many hours away from us girls, years working to earn that degree and had no choice but to quit because she constantly had to be called away from her job to attend to whatever my sister had done that day. I just don't want to follow in that path and need to stay ahead of this horrible disorder that is making me go bat crazy myself.

You need to check into options where you live. So far, I haven't heard of SSA giving payments for ADHD or ADD, but you never know until you ask. Start with your physician

Thanks! I didn't even know it was an international site so that helps me a bunch :) Thanks

You would be better off asking your doctor or the government assistance where you live. This is an international site so not even knowing what country you are in we can't really help.
