Hello everyone I'm thinking about seeing if i can go on early maternity leave from work due to a lot of stress that I'm going though at the moment. All this stress isn't good for my baby. The stress that I'm going though is my husband job is going to close down which means he won't have a job, my job is also stressing me out. I work in retail and can get out of the department that im in due to that fact that there aren't any other position in any other department. they only thing is i'm only 11 weeks pregnant.. so I'm not sure if i can go on early maternity leave for a few months. Can anyone give me some advise on what to do thanks.

I would not recommend it. I mean, if your husband is going to lose his job, and you aren't working, then what? There will be a lot more stress. Retail is not that stressful. I have worked it for years. If you don't like that job, find another. I may be being a bit judgmental here, but sounds like you are using pregnancy as an excuse. Pregnancy is not a medical condition, and should not impeded you from doing daily activities such as living. I know plenty of women who use pregnancy as an excuse. Yes, some women have very difficult pregnancies, but hun you are just at the beginning. Wait until you are 8 months and you can barely walk due to your ankles swelling to the point where standing is making your entire leg throb. Or women who have severe sciatica, or morning sickness to the point where the smell of food makes them vomit through the ENTIRE pregnancy, or like me where you have SPD (seperated pubic bone tearing from your cartilage) and have another child to take care of. Being a mom is also stressful. Save your maternity time for when you need it to be with the baby. Otherwise you will regret it. It just sounds like an excuse right now.

I know people who have worked up to the day of their delivery because they were in a similar situation as you.

Depending on where you live is how much maternity leave you get. If you are trying to get out of work this early your employer is probably going to require a doctors note. If you are in the US most of maternity leave is unpaid so I'm not sure what that would do for your stress levels since 50% of your stress is caused by your husband losing his job.
