Can mild cerebral palsy (hemiplegia) cause eating problems?

Can mild cerebral palsy affect the tongue or mouth muscles? My son seems to have trouble eating certain foods. He doesn't like crunchy things. Could this be a result of his cerebral palsy? He can talk fine.

I am starting to have the same problem with my daughter she is 1 year. We just got her a diagnose of CP and she has trouble eating anything cruncy also. She will choke or cough alot and sometimes throw up. We have had faith in therapy since she was 3 months old. she has always favored her left side. At 1 month she did not use her right side at all. She has OT ANd PT. I am so glad I can look fro others for support and help cause I am lost since we just found out about her having CP.
