My 3 month old son delvelop a cold 3 weeks ago. He's runny nose stop on the 3rd day of his cold, but the cough persist. He sleeps well without wizzing or coughing, its only when he drinks, cries or "talks" he will cough occassionally. I can still hear the phlegm blocking he's throat when he's excited druing play time.

He was suppose to have he's immunisation jab against Diptheria, Pertussis, Tetanus n Poliomyelitis on he's 3rd month old. Now 2 weeks have pass he's jab scheduled date. Though the nurse said its ok to delay, but wat if he's cough/phlegm just wun go away till like 1 month later or longer?

Anyone faces the same problem before?

I'm from Singapore (summer all year round).

They are not suppossed to be given any jab if there are any signs of colds etc. I would take your baby back to the doctors just to check on his cold etc. Just keep an eye on him. x

Never vaccinate a sick child, especially if they're on Paracetamol which conflicts with vaccines and can leave your child disabled for life.

I'd phone and ask what the nurse or doctor says. I know where I am (Canada) our public health deals with this, not our doctors. They won't give a shot to any child whose sick and will post pone it. I've had to postpone mine before and there was nothing wrong with it. Just the schedule was different after that. =)

if you need info on this i would strongly suggest reading "Healing the New Childhood Epidemics" by Kenneth Bock if you can!!

he suggests absolutly no vaccinies if there is the slightest hint of your child not feeling well and that it is OK to postpone vaccines

When my son had his regular shots he got sick just before. I phoned the dr and they told me he can have his shots as long as he doesn't have a fever. NO fever, shots are just fine.
