Me and husband have been trying to concieve our second child for almost 2 years now, I'm only 24 but he is 38, I had a c section with my first, I'm worried that something has gone wrong that has stopped me being able to have children, or could it be he's getting a little old! My heads all over the place! Some advice or tips would be great! X

Use the tests and also start keeping a chart of your temperature. You take it every morning before you get out of bed and write it on a chart. Look on the internet and you should be able to find the charts to print and go to a pharmacy and ask the pharmacist where the right thermometers are located. IT is old fashion but if you are not ovulating you can show these to the dr and they will be able to prescribe a simple pill to help. Do this before you go to expensive fertility dr as they will just ask you to do. OR if the ovulation tests are not too much then do this for several months before time.
as for age... he is still way too young unless he has a low sperm count, Another simple test that his dr can prescribe before seeing a expensive specialist. Sometimes it is both.
Hang it there.

I think you can get ovulation tests in good pharmacies, I never had to get any.

2 years is more than long enough.
Have you been testing when you ovulate? Have you done everything you can without medical intervention?
Where I live they will run tests if you have been actively trying for 1 year. Maybe go somewhere else.

When I went to the doctors to ask for tests they said we hadn't been trying long enough?

Go and see a fertility specialist. We don't have any idea what's going on with your body or his. You need tests to be run to find out.
