For days now I have gotten my 4 month to fall asleep by 10pm. My husband and her sleep while I sit there awake. For instance tonight is a perfect example it's 2am and they have been sleeping since 10pm. I have had a hard time sleeping for weeks now. But the last week has been by far the worst. Any other moms going through the same thing ? Or any moms have suggestions for me ? I breastfeed so I don't think I can take any meds either. Sigh, I just wanna sleep ! :(

I fell asleep by 240, but then was up from 730 till 8ish, fell back asleep and my daughter woke up at 930. So I didn't get horrible sleep. But I would just love to actually enjoy an entire night of rest with her :(

I give her a bath every night, so I sit in the bath with her. Technically having a bath myself. I think I might attempt to try reading so
A book while I feed her before bed and see if that helps. Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well :)

I have sleeping problems aswell but by me its caused by my thyroids..maybe you could get your thyroids checked. Taking a bath can also be relaxing and i find reading a book in bed helps me to fall asleep. Just try not to get worked up about sleeping,i find if i get worked up that i cant fall asleep it will be even harder to ever fall asleep.Good luck and hope you get some good sleep soon

So many things can cause insomnia! Caffeine, alcohol (although I would guess you are refraining from much of those) stress, depression, lack of excercise, as well as developing a faulty sleep cycle as a result of insomnia (!) Some also say too much computer/screen time, especially before going to bed, can affect your ability to fall asleep. Can you take a hot bath and have your hubby massage you? Meditate? You must get sleep, as you have an intensive job - breastfeeding mom! If this continues, consult a doctor about it and make sure you are doing all you can do get some rest. Good luck and may sweet dreams come to you soon.
