Hi there! I know this particular procedure is not one that is irreversible. You can always get your tubes untied and then try for another baby if that is your desire. I have mom friends that have been debating whether or not they want to untie their tubes and try for more. I do not think it matters how long they have been tied. I think if you are still in your fertile years then you can still conceive once they are untied but I do not think it's possible to conceive while they are still tied. I hope you get more responses that may help you more :)

Yes...

I know people who've had their tubal ligation fail 10 or 15 years after having it done. It's rare, but it happens.

Also, if you want to get pregnant you can have a tubal ligation reversed. It's expensive though, and not always successful.

It's absolutely possible to conceive if you've had your tubes tied. They can repair themselves. If you suspect you are pregnant, see your doctor immediately, because there is a fairly high risk of ectopic pregnancy, which can be life threatening.

And for the person who thinks it isn't possible, 1 in about 300 tubal ligations end up in pregnancy. So it's absolutely possible.
