i kept her home because she was upset. but she did go back to school the nxt day. but what got me the school contacted me after i called the school and said that she had to be back in school for second lession and we have put it down to unauthorised absence which i thought that was really bad.

I agree with Sarah. For some kids having the distraction of school might help.... and for others it may be way too much. Gauge your decision on how your daughter is acting and whether or not she WANTS to go to school. And let the teacher know what happened in case it becomes too much for her and you need to come get her.

I'm so sorry for your loss! :( ♥

Firstly, I'm very sorry for your loss. As to your question,it depends on how she's reacting to it. Only you know whether she would cope with school or not.

Mostly children cope well when things carry on as normal. Why are you keeping her home? Is she too upset to leave you?

I would tell the teacher ahat has happened and ask her to keep an eye on your daughter.
