Can you ladies suggest a way to increase my milk supply? I am pumping.

Hi guys, my little one is 2 weeks old and it seems my milk supply is diminishing. I need to get my supply up. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm drinking mothers milk tea and pumping every 2-3 hours. Thanks

I could never pump enough. Try alfalfa tablets that is what I used to help production while nursing.

Can I ask if you are also breastfeeding your baby, and if not, why not? A latched baby is far more efficient at getting the milk out than a pump is, and is more likely to help you build your milk supply. And as suggested by others, you can't judge the amount you are supplying by the amount you can pump.

My lactation specialist told me to do this and it worked for me and a coworker... Take fenugreek supplement (3 pills, three times a day) AND at night before bed AFTER you have pumped/breast fed drink ONE full bodied beer. And keep pumping and drinking LOTS of water :)

How are you judging supply? Generally, as long as your baby is getting enough diapers (6-8) your supply is fine. Don't judge supply by behavior (ie nursing a lot), pump output, or the way breasts feel
