Cancel home daycare contract or give it a try?

I interviewed a home daycare provider for my son and she was qualified and I felt good about my choice. Two days later I stopped by to drop off the signed paperwork and we chatted for a few minutes. She talked alot about her personal life and challenges (difficulties with her spouse, feelings of isolation). I started to have doubts about my choice and I do not know what to do.
Should I try her service for a few week to be sure? Should I just cancel the contract?

Everyone has challenges in their lives, I think it is great she felt comfortable enough with you to tell you what is going on in her life. Which, has nothing to do with her ability to look after your child. As with all day care providers give her a chance and if things are not working out then cancel the contract and find another one. Lets face it who does not have some sort of issue in their lives!

Thanks for the insight Louise. I totally agree that everyone has issues. I was a bit taken aback that she told me so many of them after having met me only twice for 30 minutes each time. I am happy that she feels comfortable opening up to me, but I am a bit worried as to whether her issues would cause her to be down or depressed during the day when caring for my baby. I hope you are right and that her problems do not hinder her ability to show love and affection to my 8 month old.
