Car seats

I need to get my daughter out of her rear facing infant seat and into a new car seat. Any advice on what's a good one? I saw ones that can turn into just a booster seat later, what are your thoughts?

i have an evenflo symphony 65 thatrear faces to 30lbs, forward faces to 65lbs and boosters to 100lbs. i love it so far (we've had it about a year and we're still using it rear facing at 18 months) - it's super easy to install (i can do it myself in about 5 minutes). it seems to fit easily into smaller cars as well if that's an issue for you (my sil has had it in her car and she has an austin mini).

I have a Maxi Cosy Tobi which is designed to take my daughter up to the age of 4. It has a retractable harness and has not given us any problems it also reclines slightly so your toddler can sleep. My daughter was quite tall for her age and she fitted the seat at 9 months and is still enjoying the ride at 28 months.

My daughter will be 13 months next week. She is a little peanut, 18 pounds 28 inches last month at her 12month check up. So I'm not really in a rush to turn her around since I know rear facing is safer. Having a new one that rear faces as well sounds like a nice idea. What is the max weight for your car seat? Also, what is the max weight for when you turn it around? I don't want to have to buy one and then end up having to buy another one for when she just needs a booster.

How old is your daughter? If she is still a baby/toddler I would get a seat that you can rear face then forward face. We have the Britax marathon and love it. My daughter will rearface until she maxes out the weight.
