I've always loved Winnie The Pooh, The Care Bears, Transformers, Fraggle Rock, Bugs Bunny And Tweety Show, Smurfs, Roadrunner, Rolli Polli Olli, Little Bear, Franklin, Arthur, The Flintstones and The Jetsons. Now I only ever see the majority of them on Teletoon Retro... and Winnie The Pooh and The Care Bears have become all... 3D'ish and boring. Pooh Bear, Piglet, Tigger they're not the same anymore. Even Fred Penner and Mr Dressup aren't on anymore. Sesame Street is... blah. The new cartoons all seem very... smooshy. I never see TMNT, Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, The Transformers, etc anymore. Then there's the new cartoons all together like The Backyardigans that my neice super loves, but I watched about 5 minutes of it and thought.. uh ok.. I guess. haha Which do you prefer; the old cartoons or the new cartoons?

I personally do not like the new cartoons, they are just too.. weird. Cartoons like yo-gaba-gaba, Adventure time, The Amazing world of Gumball, etc. and even the new Spongebob Squarepants cartoons. They are just weird and bad and I think set a bad example to kids, especially Spongebob. Mickey mouse club house I do not like, the characters there are Way too dependent on this little machine named Toodles. That cartoon just teaches kids to be very dependent (and dance weird) it should teach them to be independent, want to do things on their own not always be asking for help. I like the good old cartoons I grew up with in the 90's like Looney Toons, Animaniacs, Little Bear, Franklin, Jetsons especially and Flinstones, CatDog, Ahh real monsters, etc. the old Spongebob cartoons. There are some 2000's cartoons I like such as Teen Titans, Ben Ten, Ninja Turtles, (yea mostly boy cartoons) :p when my baby is born and is a toddler I will let her see the cartoons intended for little kids, but only the ones i feel are apropriate and teach good, set a good example like Doc Mcstuffins, or Team Umizomi, Elmo, carebears and maybe even Sophia the first (im still thinking.)NO BARNEY I cant stand that big purple dinorsaur, i never liked him as a child, im 18 and I still dont! :) lol I told my boyfriend that when our daughter is 5, on her 5th birthday i want to get her a barney pinata fill it with red confetii and let her hit it! I also want to get my child into the 90's cartoons when she is older, but no more than 2 hours of tv a day, I want my child to do other activities, read and color, play with toys not just watch tv all day.
(Sorry I write sooo much, its a habit!)

My Hubby and I watch the old cartoons together but not with our kids. I have no idea why my parents ever let us watch them to begin with! My siblings and I picked up so much crap from that.
My kids watch Playhouse Disney if they watch t.v. I hate treehouse, the shoes are just annoying, Family is more for older kids, YTV is the same way.... there's just not much good out there for kids anymore in regards to t.v. but mine don't really watch it. Winter time they do because it's freaking cold out and there's only so much you can do inside before you get bored. lol.

I wouldn't want my daughter watching shows with violence or swearing, And I seem to notice the crap they put on TV now a days. I try to be careful if I watch anything on TV.

My fiance puts the teletoon retro on for Olivia but I advised him to turn it to Tree house or playhouse Disney as its more age appropriate for her..she is almost 16months old. I already know which shows she glues her eyes to..which is Dora..She LOVES in the night garden..I find it annoying cause it reminds me of teletubbies, I didn't find them educational at all. I think the Baby Einstein is awesome even though its not on TV..But when I grew up the shows I loved was care bears, Jem and the Holograms, She rah
rain bow bright..and my little ponies

Ugghh....cartoons! I have a soft spot for the oldies, like Smurfs and Care Bears, but I can't STAND the new ones! My son is only 6 1/2 months old, and I don't let him watch TV (unless he cranes his neck while I'm giving him a bottle and watching Ellen or something...lol) but when my 3 yo nephew comes to visit the TV is on Treehouse ALL day long and I can't even handle it! I'm afraid my kids might only be allowed to watch Disney movies because the crap they put on TV for kids nowadays is awful!

I liked the old cartoons but I also like some of the new ones. I actually like The Backyardigans, and Dora. But I prefer the old Winnie the Pooh. It doesn't even have Christopher Robin anymore!!

the new cartoons are better for our family. seems everytime I switch on teletoon retro someone is being blown up or something along the lines in thoes oldies, like bugs bunny and tweety, merry melodies.

My daughter is only allowed treehouse and playhouse disney. I will not even let her watch YTV because of the violence

I like a mixture of both, depending on the cartoon, of course. Unless of course you're speaking of the newer cartoons, then I shut them off. Lol

I have a great appreciation for both. Mr men is still by far my favorite.

But these new toons are pretty addictive. i hate the really young cartoons, the diego/dora type shows. But the cartoons geared toward slightly older kids are awesome. Chowder, courage the cowardly dog, the fairly odd parents, Dexters lab, fosters home for imaginary friends, the grimm adventures of billy and mandy, skunk fu... There are some pretty great new ones.

i guess I'll go with new. but MR MEN TOPS ALL.
