I am 35 weeks pregnant, and been reading a lot about taking castor oil... but I was wondering does it work? And is it safe to take it at 35 weeks?

IT IS NOT SAFE ANYTIME!!!!! AND at 35 WEEKS BABY IS NOT FULLY DEVELOPED! There is a reason why pregnancy is 40 plus weeks long. Allow your baby to develop and be born healthy. Why wait 9 months to then do damage to your child by wanting them to come a few weeks sooner!? Castor oil is a laxative, which leads to dehydration. What happens when your body gets dehydrated is that it causes contractions.....dehydration is VERY dangerous for both you and your baby. Because your body is in stress it also puts stress on your baby. This can cause baby's heart rate to increase which can bring on lots more issues.
