Hopefully you've thought this through a little bit more and didn't do it.

PATIENCE. Wait for baby to be ready. Don't believe wives tales such as 'if baby can hiccup their lungs are fully developed', because that's BS. fetal hiccups are not an indicator of lung development.

There's a reason that you need to go full term and not mess with that. When baby is ready to be born, baby will be born. Simple enough. I went 44 weeks with my eldest, and 42 with my youngest. Was I happy? not really. Was I comfortable? HELL NO!!! Were my boys healthy? Yep! that's why its better to wait.

Hiccups do not determine if lungs are developed! A baby can hiccup in the womb way long before lungs are developed for being born. Mom's can feel hiccups in the womb at 24 wks. And no baby's lungs are developed at 24 wks. Really labor will come when baby is READY do be born!

I took two tablespoons of castor oil and chased it with orange juice. I also ate spicy chinese food. It worked for me, less than 12 hours later, my first was born.
Just make sure with your doctor that your baby's lungs are developed (if they hiccup, they're developed and working well), and that baby's head is down and facing your back. Baby's health if more important than satisfying your pain. Hope everything works out & good luck! :)

Wait for God's timing. There is a time for every season...a time to be born...

Castor oil is a laxative. You do not want it to bring on labor because that means your baby and your body is in distress. You go into labor because you get dehydrated due to having to go to the bathroom. Becoming dehydrated then puts stress on your body because you don't have enough fluids in your body for what your baby needs. This then puts stress on baby which can cause multiple problems for baby including death. You have about 2 weeks left. You can wait that long in order to have a healthy baby.

It is called castor oil, and no, you should not use it. It can cause distress to your baby, and often does not work. You are 38 weeks. Your baby isn't ready yet.
