It is true about a cat sleeping on a baby's face i have two cat's and one of my cat's started coming into my room every night jumping in the crib with my daughter who was just little over a year old at the time.I've woken many times throughout the night to find one of my cat's sleeping right on her face covering her mouth.I now have to sleep with my door closed if not the cat sneaks in jumping in my daughter's crib laying on her face and she is 16months now...Theory is i wouldn't trust a cat to sleep with a baby or small child under 3yrs of age.

Cats should NEVER be allowed in a baby's bedroom while the baby is sleeping. You should definitely not be allowing a cat to SLEEP with young child. Cats are well known for doing this, and even professionals advise against it because of risk of suffocation.

A cat sleeping on a baby's face can suffocate the baby. DON'T allow your cats to sleep anywhere near baby.
