After a long struggle with our 13 yo daughter in regards to not following rules, doing what she wants, coming home whenever she wants and lying about pretty much everything which has resulted in several groundings; she has finally decided to settle down. She has asked for permission to go to the park to hang out with friends. I gave her permission and told her she must keep her phone on and be back by a certain time. then my husband chimes in with his own rule. She cannot go unless there will be parental supervision. Oh boy! She kicked off, he raised his voice the argument starts. She screams at him for being unreasonable, he goes back with "you cannot be trusted!". It all ends up with her being grounded again and me in a flood of tears. I see both points of view but I know if I take her side I'll be accused of not backing him up. I feel so stuck in the middle of this and am at a loss.
