And NO cheerios at 5 weeks, unless you want to have your baby choke.

It is normal for your 5 week old to wake regularly during the night to feed.

It is still the same response Rachel. The answer is no. That is still considered a solid food. Only thing they need is breast milk or formula. Like Michelle said, it is empty calories and will fill them up to much and they will not want what they need. Baby rice cereal is STILL a solid.

No, babies shouldn't have solids until at least 6 months! Up until they are 12 months solids are just for taste and texture.
Baby cereal is just full of empty calories and no nutritional value either.
Definitely don't do what Beth said.

Beth, this is a 5 WEEK old baby. Definitely no cheerios. Rachel, I know it's tough when they don't sleep through the night. Hold off on cereal as long as you can. The longer a baby is on breast milk alone the better! 4 months is the earliest...6 months is better :)

It was something I thought of to help his belly stay fuller longer at night. In turn, sleeping for a longer period.

Why did you want to give your baby solids?

It is recommend to start at 6 months but I started at 5 months because my baby was underweight and pediatrician said to start solid to gain the weight.
