I've already been feeding my 6 week old Formula with cereal in it now for 3 or 4 nights... is it better to keep going this way once you've started or can i stop and not have the reprocussions i've read about, and re-wait till he's 4- 6 months.??

It's possible that he could have repercussions from what he's already had, but it's much more likely for him to have repercussions if you don't stop now.

Just stop immediately and try not to worry about the 'what ifs' since worrying won't do you any good. He will, most likely, still be fine. ♥

There is now research that is suggesting that feeding too early can lead to long term digestive problems that may not even become evident until your child is an adult. They have suggested it *could* be linked to the increase in Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It is not recommended to do what you are doing, not by a long shot. Rice cereal is not what you 6 week old needs - nutritionally, you should only be feeding breastmilk or formula.

You should definitely stop feeding your 6 week old cereal. You don't need to stop gradually, just cut it right out.
